Abstract
Chain sampling plans allow significant reductions in sample size under conditions of a continuing succession of lots from a stable, trusted supplier. This series presents procedures and tables for the construction of such plans and for selection of plans by specified properties. Part 1 (see April 1978 JQT) gives a simple method for computing the OC curve and deriving chain sampling plans from the desired operating ratio. Tables for determining the associated AOQL are also given. Part 2 provides tables for the selection of plans from values of AQL/LTPD and of AQL/AOQL, respectively.
