Part 2: Tables

Pages 104-124 | Published online: 22 Feb 2018

Abstract

The switching rules are an integral and necessary part of the MIL-STD-105D sampling scheme. Part 2 of this two-part series presents complete tables of the probability of acceptance (Pa), average sample number (ASN), average outgoing quality (AOQ), average outgoing quality limit (AOQL), and average total inspection (ATI) when the switching rules are fully utilized. Part 1 (published in the April 1978 JQT) discussed the functioning of the switching rules and their effect on scheme operating characteristics and other measures of performance. The tables of Part 2 can be used to evaluate the operation of the MIL-STD-105D scheme when it is properly used–with the switching rules.
