Abstract
Many practical problems in the analysis of experimental or observed data require the use of the normal, log-normal, or extreme value distributions. Where confidence limits on quantiles are required, it is suggested that the noncentral t distribution be used to obtain these. Several such problems are discussed with illustration of the solution by use of a nomogram.
