Abstract
Construction of sets for judging the adequacy of fit of various families of distributions is proposed. The specific distributions for which details are given include the normal, exponential and Weibull. By a change of variable the lognormal and extreme value distributions may also be included. The constructions are developed and the normal construction is applied to a numerical example.
