Exact Critical Values for Use with the Analysis of Means

Pages 40-44 | Published online: 22 Feb 2018

Abstract

Exact critical values are given for the analysis of means of equal sample sizes for significance levels 0.10, 0.05, 0.01 and 0.001; number of means k equal to 3(1)20; and degrees of freedom equal to k(1)20, 24, 30, 40, 60, 120 and ∞. An approximate analysis for means of unequal sample sizes is discussed and exemplified. Approximations for the critical values are given and their derivation is discussed.
