Evaluation of a Start-Up Demonstration Test

Abstract

An equipment acceptance procedure requires c consecutive successful start-ups of the equipment. Procedures are given for finding the statistical distribution of the total number of attempted start-ups to achieve acceptance, assuming that the start-ups are independent events and have a constant success probability p.
