The Effects of Variability in Inspector Error

Pages 131-135 | Published online: 22 Feb 2018

Abstract

This paper extends the acceptance sampling model with inspector error to the situation where there is variability in inspector error from lot to lot, but no variability within each lot. The effects of this variability are shown both on the operating curve and on minimal sample sizes for sampling plans, when two points on the operating curve are given.
