Abstract
This expository paper presents estimates and confidence limits for Weibull percentiles and reliabilities when the Weibull shape parameter β is assumed to have a known value. The methods are particularly useful when there are few or no failures, and a shape parameter value from similar data is available.

Dr. Nelson is employed half time as a Statistician at General Electric, and half time he is a Private Consultant. He is currently on leave from General Electric and is a Visiting Research Professor in the Institute of Administration and Management at Union College in Schenectady, NY. He is a Fellow of ASQC.
