Abstract
Methods are presented for testing the null hypothesis H0: μ1 = … = μk = μ0 where μ0 is a specified standard value. Both one-sided and two-sided alternative hypotheses are considered. For each case, an overall test procedure is initially discussed and then followed by a multiple comparison procedure. The critical values required for the multiple comparison procedures have been tabulated previously. The methods presented are simple to use and should be widely applicable in quality control inspection.
