ABSTRACT
A small foot-shaped stone artifact was recovered during the 1974 field season at Gallinas Springs, which is a late Pueblo III site located in west central New Mexico. Correlations between the working on the stone and the decorations on a large jar found in the same room indicate that the object is a multi-purpose pottery- working tool.
