Abstract

Colorimetric technique was applied to the estimation of the optical properties of 90[ddot] twisted nematic displays. It is possible to explain semi-quantitatively the facts which are well known empirically but interesting and important to us such as the optimum gap thickness, gap allowance adn comparison of display performance with parallel polarizers and crossed ones.
