Abstract

β-Cyclodextrin forms inclusion compounds with salicylideneailine and salicylideneaminopyridine. The formation of the inclusion compounds has been established by i. r. measurements, differential scanning, calorimetry and X-rays powder-diffraction. Enviromental effects on molecular properties of the guest compounds, such as photochromism and thermochromism have been observed in the solid state.
