The neon-neon interatomic potential from a study of the liquid-vapour isotope separation factor

Pages 721-728 | Received 22 Mar 1976, Published online: 23 Aug 2006

Abstract

The isotope separation factor between liquid and vapour is used to discriminate between different proposed interatomic potentials for neon. Multi-body interactions are included in the calculation of liquid-state properties. It is found that the ESMSV III potential gives the best representation of the isotope separation factor, and is probably the most realistic neon potential yet proposed.
