Thermodynamical behaviour and radial distribution functions of dilute systems of charged rigid spheres

Abstract

The excess thermodynamical functions and the radial distribution functions for dilute systems of charged rigid spheres with different radii and/or electrical valences have been evaluated by two different methods. One consists in taking into account the first order perturbative correction in the Meeron renormalized cluster expansion. The other one leans upon a simple variational optimization procedure. The results are compared with available hypernetted chain and Monte Carlo results.
