Gyration tensor of an anisotropic medium and local field correction

Abstract

The gyration tensor in an anisotropic medium is determined by taking the local field correction into account. This tensor is found to be antisymmetric with respect to its first two indices and invariant to an origin change, as is the uncorrected gyration tensor.
