Isotropic Raman study of rotation-vibration coupling for a system of free asymmetric top molecules

Abstract

A theory is proposed to investigate the effects of rotation-vibration coupling on the isotropic Raman spectra of a system of free asymmetric top molecules. Appropriate time correlation function is given in the case of adiabatic evolution of the quantum mechanical vibrational motion. The problem is exactly soluble although the results are only available in a numerical form.
