Spectral intensities in the v3 - v1 band of CS2

Abstract

The line intensities of the v3 - v1 bands of 12C32S2 are measured with high precision using tunable diode lasers. The band strength determined at T = 297 K is S v 0(v3-v1) = 1·064 ± 0·020 cm-2 atm-1. From this result the band strength for the v3 + v1 band can be predicted in the first approximation and estimated to be S v 0(v3 + v1) = 64·2 ± 1·2 cm-2 atm-1.
