Abstract
We have calculated phase shifts, analytically and numerically, for an adiabatic long range potential, arising from the interaction of 3 particles in two dimensions. At large distances of the hyper radius r, the effective potential approaches (r 2 ln r)-1. We obtained the low energy dependence of the phase shifts which correspond to such a long range ‘tail’. We also studied the contribution to the phase shifts from the short range part of the potential.
