New concepts useful in studying the dynamics of a rotating-vibrating molecule are proposed. The rotational and vibrational reduced density matrices and reduced local operators which are introduced give clear and significant information about the rovibrational states of a molecule. A rotation-vibration correlation in some rovibrational states is revealed.
