Abstract

A perturbation theory with a non-spherical reference system is used to calculate the thermodynamic properties of gaussian overlap and modified gaussian overlap fluids. The results for the pressure, the internal energy and the excess free energy per particle are in good agreement with molecular dynamic simulation results.
