RESUME
Au cours de sa révision du genre Ptychadena (Amphibia Ranidae), l'auteur a été confronté avec le matériel éhiopien décrit par Ahl (1924) sous les noms de Rana erlangeri et Rana neumanni et conservé au Zoologisches Museum de Berlin. Ptychadena erlangeri est reconnue et redécrite. La série de syntypes de Ptychadena neumanni, contenant trois espèces distinctes, est discutée. Ptychadena neumanni [sensu stricto], est redéfinie. Ptychadena nana n.sp., est décrite. Une troisième forme en mauvais état de conservation est analysée mais considérée incertae sedis.
SUMMARY
Revising the genus Ptychadena (Amphibia Ranidae), the author has been faced with the type material of Rana erlangeri and Rana neumanni, described from Ethiopia by Ahl (1924), and preserved in the Zoologisches Museum in Berlin. Ptychadena erlangeri is recognized and re-described. The type series of Ptychadena neumanni contains three different taxa. Ptychadena neumanni [sensu stricto] is re-defined. Ptychadena nana n.sp. is described. A third form, in bad shape of conservation is analysed but considered as a species of incertae sedis.
