Summary
The currant cane blight fungus, Botryosphaeria Ribis chromogena, has been found on numerous hosts, many of them native species, in Georgia and Florida; and once in Cuba.
The range of the fungus thus extends much farther south than that of the currant. On the other hand, the fungus has not yet been found on any host in the northern portions of the region in which currants are commonly grown.
