Heterothallic Antibiosis in Mucor Racemosus

SUMMARY

The phycomycete, Mucor racemosus, possesses antibiotic prop-perties for certain bacteria. The active antibiotic principle is thermostable and is restricted to the minus strain of the heterothallic fungus for the bacteria tested.
