SUMMARY

1.

Six of twenty representative species of Aspergilli were found to be capable of producing a lethal infection in Platysamia cecropia L.

2.

Of eight other genera tried, only Mettarhizium and Fonsecaca proved to be infective to the insect.

3.

The host range of Aspergillus flavus Link has been extended to include six more genera of the Lepidoptera; the attempt to infect two beetles proved unsuccessful.
