The Conidial Stage of Uncinula Necator

&
Pages 342-351 | Published online: 12 Sep 2018

SUMMARY

Published illustrations of the conidiophores of Uncinula necator show differences which could be of generic or specific rank. It has not been determined whether these differences in the illustrations represent real differences between the collections or are due to other causes. All conidiophores we have examined have been of the Erysiphe polygoni type, but those from Germany characteristically have a much shorter stipe cell than those from California.
