Pages 713-727 | Published online: 12 Sep 2018

SUMMARY

Nomenclatorial, taxonomic and anatomic studies of Hydnopolyporus palmatus, a new combination proposed for Hydnopolyporus fimbriatus, are presented. The genus Hydnopolyporus is considered best placed in the subfamily Cladomeroideae of Polyporaceae. The similarities between Heteroporus and Hydnopolyporus are discussed. Anatomically the species is considered to be monomitic with hyaline and simple-septate generative hyphae. The variations of the species and a key to the forms are presented as well as a list of synonyms, hosts, and geographic distribution.
