SUMMARY
The tyrosinase activity of Strobilomyces strobilaceus was studied, using p-cresol and catechol as substrates. At temperatures above 35 C and below 25 C, oxygen consumption was reduced. Activity was highest around pH 7. It was reduced by enzyme dilution and by potassium cyanide.
