Clonally-Produced Plasmodia in Heterothallic Isolates of Didymium Iridis

SUMMARY

Data are presented which show that selfing (or apogamy) sometimes takes place in common-mating type crosses as well as in individual clones of known mating types. These conclusions were arrived at through appropriate use of three kinds of genetic markers.
