SUMMARY
A new Hyphomycete, Stephanoma phaeospora Butler & McCain, is described. It is distinctive in that it produces dark-colored conidia, conidial satellite cells which develop into phialides, arborescent fruiting structures, and by the absence of a Verticillium stage. Conidia of S. phaeospora germinate but the presence of Fusarium sp. is required for growth and sporulation.
