SUMMARY
The sexual stage of Phymatotrichum omnivorum (Shear) Duggar developed in four isolates of the fungus grown on a medium containing vitamin D3 under visible light Vegetative cultures produced clamp connections and basidia bearing 4–8 basidiospores following this treatment for 14 days. The basidiospores were viable and 40 single basidiospore cultures were obtained. The sexual stage was identified as a previously described basidiomycete, Trechispora brinkmanii (Bres.).
