California Boletes. IV. the Genus Leccinum

SUMMARY

Eight species, five of which are new, and two new varieties belonging to the genus Leccinum are described. More species were found in the montane forests of the Sierra Nevada, where they were most frequently associated with aspens, than in the highly mixed forests of the lower coastal regions. Two species belonging to the section Scabra are described representing the first report of representatives of this section from the state.
