Developmental Morphology and Taxonomic Characters of Arthrorhynchus Nycteribiae and A. Eucampsipodae (Laboulbeniomycetes)

Pages 159-168 | Accepted 16 Jul 1979, Published online: 12 Sep 2018

SUMMARY

Immature stages of thalli of Arthrorhynchus nycteribiae and A. eucampsipodae undergo a developmental sequence similar to that of other species of Laboulbeniomycetes included in the Stigmatomyceteae. Arthrorhynchus nycteribiae can be distinguished most readily from A. eucampsipodae and A. cyclopodiae by the long upper cell of the receptacle and the thin-walled, short stalk of the antheridial appendage.
