SUMMARY
The morphology of the basidiocarp and cultural characters of Polyporus grammocephalus have been studied. The fungus possesses a dimitic hyphal system with generative and binding hyphae, causes a white rot in hardwoods, gives positive reactions in oxidase tests and shows tetrapolar sexuality.
