The Wood-Decay Capability of Albatrellus Dispansus

SUMMARY

Albatrellus dispansus was isolated, the first known isolates of this species, and grown on several agar media and Douglas-fir wood. The cultural characters of the fungus are described and illustrated and the brown cubical decay it causes in wood is described. Clamp connections were discovered in the culture and in the pileus margin, features not previously reported for this species.
