ABSTRACT

Xylaria bulbosa, X. curta, and X. longipes are described, illustrated, and discussed with particular reference to their occurrence and activities in continental United States. Cultures, anamorphs, and conidiogenesis are described for X. curta and X. longipes. Xylaria castorea and X. corniformis are also discussed.
