Studies in Agaricus II. Agaricus Lilaceps Re-Evaluated

Pages 137-141 | Accepted 30 Jul 1984, Published online: 12 Sep 2018

ABSTRACT

A number of collections of Agaricus lilaceps from coastal California have been recorded. The description by Zeller is believed to be based on material having an atypical habit that can appear during certain climactic or environmental conditions. A revised description and notes on the holotype are provided. The possible affinities of A. lilaceps to section Spissicaules are considered.
