ABSTRACT
Two new taxa of marasmioid fungi from California are described and illustrated: Marasmius thiersii (section Androsacei) and Marasmiellus ramealis var. californicus (section Rameales). Marasmius quercophilus is reported for the first time from North America. Marasmius copelandii is redescribed and M. olidus is reduced to a variety of M. copelandii. Marasmius plicatulus is redescribed and a neotype is designated. Illustrations of salient microscopic characters are provided for all taxa.
