ABSTRACT

Crustoderma longicystidia is reported from North America where it was isolated from unseasoned lumber. Its mating system is unifactorial. Cultures were distinctive in producing masses of chlamydospores giving the mat a yeast-like appearance. Culture characters of C. dryina are described and several other species of Crustoderma are compared with C. longicystidia.
