ABSTRACT
Ectomycorrhizae of Hydnellum peckii on Picea abies are described. The ectomycorrhizae are characterized by a plectenchymatous mantle with hyphae embedded in a gelatinous matrix with adhering mineral soil particles. They form chlamydospores with a thick, smooth inner wall and an outer wall which is radially split into warts. Clamped hyphae of the rhizomorphs can be considerably inflated at the clamps.
