Morphological Studies of Aspergillus Section Versicolores and Related Species

Pages 100-107 | Accepted 07 Oct 1992, Published online: 29 Aug 2018

ABSTRACT

Twenty-four species placed in Aspergillus section Versicolores were examined for macromorphological and micromorphological characteristics. Based on these characters, an identification key to the species was created. A cluster analysis of the data indicated that five of the species, A. silvaticus, A. speluneus, A. floriformis, A. pseudodeflectus, and A. pulvinus were only weakly aligned with other members of the section.
