ABSTRACT
Morphological features of spores and sporocarps of Glomus coronatum (Glomales, Zygomycetes) collected in Poland and Germany are described and illustrated. This arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus has so far been reported only in Italy. In Poland G. coronatum was found in 17 of the over 500 soil samples examined. Of the six soils originating from Germany, two contained spores of this fungus. Specimens from both Poland and Germany, when compared with those originally described, have smaller spores with a narrower and more variably shaped subtending hypha.
