New species of Hyphoderma from Taiwan

Abstract

Four species of Hyphoderma collected from Taiwan during 1991–1994 are reported as new to science, viz. H. acystidiatum, H. cremeum, H. densum and H. subsetigerum. Morphological descriptions and microscopic line drawings are given for all four species. Cultural studies are provided for H. cremeum, H. densum and H. subsetigerum. All three species are bipolar in sexuality, and have normal nuclear behavior.
