Abstract
Amanita morenoi and A. pseudospreta were originally described from collections made in Neuquén Province, Argentina. A study of the holotype of A. morenoi demonstrated that its spores are apparently exclusively crassospores produced on crassobasidia. In the holotype of A. pseudospreta, the majority of spores examined were crassospores. Type studies of both species are reported. The structures of the crassospore spore walls in these two species are described and discussed. Data on normal spored specimens of both species are presented.
