Abstract
A new coelomycete isolated from soil in Papua New Guinea is described. Conidiomata are eustromatic, conidiogenesis is holoblastic, and conidia are 1-celled, brown and characterized by a single longitudinal germ slit, typical of the genus Endomelanconium. The new E. microsporum differs from the two species already assigned to the genus most noticeably in conidial size.
