New Laboulbeniales parasitic on Staphylinidae

Abstract

Six new Laboulbeniales (Ascomycetes) parasitic on Staphylinidae (Insecta, Coleoptera) are described. These are Cantharomyces pacei, on Spanioda andicola (Aleocharinae) from Chile; Dimorphomyces philippinensis and Tetrandromyces weirianus, on Pseudoplandria drugmandi (Aleocharinae) from the Philippines; Laboulbenia kenyensis, on Mimogonus rossii (Osoriinae) from Kenya; Laboulbenia richardii, on a few species of Phlaeopterus, Unamis, and Vellica (Omaliinae) from the USA; and Rhachomyces bordonii, on several members of the subfamily Xantholininae from various countries of Eastern Asia.
