Abstract
Capnokyma rossmanae and its presumed Hormisciomyces synanamorph are illustrated and described from a collection from Cerro de la Neblina, Venezuela. The new species lacks the branched setae of the type species, C. corticale, the only other species of this genus. In addition, the conidiophores of the new species are mostly unbranched and the conidia are smaller and fewer septate. A relationship of these two anamorphic species with Euantennariaceae is suggested.
