Occurrence of tomato aspermy virus, carnation mottle virus, and a virus from chrysanthemums in New Zealand

Abstract

Tomato aspermy virus was isolated from tomato plants growing near Christchurch and Hastings. Carnation mottle virus was present in all plants tested from 27 of the 29 varieties of carnations examined. A virus, which may be related to chrysanthemum virus D, was isolated from 2 out of the 8 varieties of chrysanthemums tested.
