Genetic differences in the perloline content of ryegrass (Lolium) herbage

Pages 158-162 | Received 03 Jul 1961, Published online: 06 Jan 2012

Abstract

Herbage from various rye grass genotypes showed marked differences in perloline levels, which were not significantly correlated with differences in top growth. In some samplings tetraploid plants had higher perloline contents than diploid plants.
