Comparison of light and heat transmission of horticultural glass and translucent rigid PVC

Abstract

Transmittance of visible light was 0.92 from a disc of glass, approximately 0.70 for new translucent PVC, and 0.18 for the weathered sample of translucent PVC.

The PVC sheet transmitted heat faster than the glass.
