Drippy gill: A bacterial disease of cultivated mushrooms caused by Pseudomonas agarici n.sp.

Abstract

A bacterium that specifically damages gill tissue of cultivated mushroom has been isolated, and symptoms of the disease are reported. The pathogen is a pseudomonad differing from other reported pathogens of mushroom. The name proposed for the organism is Pseudomonas agarici n.sp.
